All participants are required to pass 29 course units to meet graduation requirements. Most courses are one unit. A course includes 10 class meetings of 1.5 hours each.
The program offers about 30 courses in 14 modules of study. Typically, two or three topics are covered in each module
The learning modules are structured in one of two formats:
A five-week module in which classes meet on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings. Typically half of the modules are offered in this format. Some of the courses are conducted over two consecutive weeks.
An intensive module is conducted over a five or six consecutive full days within a single week. Typically eight of the modules, evenly spread through the two years, are offered in this format.
Live-in weeks: Some of the intensive weeks are offered in a "live-in" format. They include a residential component to allow participants to engage in further classroom discussions, expand their networks of business contacts, and develop personal friendships. Two live-in weeks are offered at Kellogg, at the beginning of the second year studies and others are offered by the network partners.
International weeks: Each network partner (Kellogg in Miami, Kellogg-Schulich in Toronto, Kellogg-WHU in Germany, Kellogg-HKUST in Hong Kong and Kellogg-Recanati in Israel) offers at least one international module open to students coming from the network partners’ programs. These modules are open to second year students. The exchange option can be exercised according to the worldwide exchange policy guidelines.
International Business course: This specially designated Kellogg-Recanati course includes a one week field trip to a designated worldwide location.
The tentative calendar for KR18 (2013-2015) indicates the structure of the upcoming program.
